Welcome to Tokyo !
I secured a very good deal to Tokyo via Northwest airline. In my opinion lah, it is “a steal”. Before flying, i did a search on Northwest airline because i knew nuts about it. I only know that it is America operated (right?)
Anyway, i found no reviews. Boohoo.

Checking in at Changi Airport
Flight at 6:00am, NW20
Which means i have to leave my house at 4:30am (thanks to sis who send me there) which means i have to wake up at 3:30am, which means i have less than 4 hours to sleep.
What shocked me is the strict process when checking in. I have been a budget carrier all along so i am not sure if all airlines practise this or is it just America operatated airlines. Anyway, round 1 was “1-to-1 interview”. I was being ushered to this station and there was a Cisco police officer standing behind the counter. He looked at me and then my passport and asked me some simple questions. Haha, i did feel a lil panic because in my mind i was thinking of this hollywood show Bourne Identity. Whereby Jason Bourne was being negotiated by a police office, he has to remain calm and answer the questions carefully else he will be busted. Ok, TOTALLY LAME.
Anyway, the interview took like 3 mins and i proceed to do my check-in at the counter. As i have checked-in online earlier, i don’t have to go to this ”Self-serivce kiosk” to do my check in. When going out of the couter, my ticket and passport was checked once again. I feel safe and confident after all this secure checks. So don’t complain ^^
Flight Entertainment
There were a wide range of movies to choose from ! Although i have watched most of it before, i was still impressed lor. From Hollywood hits to Family Favourties. i was spoilt for choice i tell you.
Just to name a few, there is Slumdog Millionaire (which i totally enjoyed watching up there), Body of Lies (staring Leo Dicaprio), The Secret Lies of Bees (which was not even aired in SG yet, right), Quantun of Solace (the latest 007), The Day The Earth Stood Stile (which for obvious reason i did not watch up there), Frost/Nixon, Yes Man. And don’t worry about watching the same old thing coming back because there are some different titles added !
There is also Curious Case of Benjamin Button, Marley and Me..!!! (okie, i watched both before already, but still so excited to see it available)
Food
I wasn’t quite prepared to eat Mee Goreng onboard NWA. But i was really hungry and given the choice of scrambled egg and Mee goreng of course my mind tells me to choose the later (which sounds more filling). Eh… not very impressed lah.. i thought i will have a “western styled breakfast”. The apple juice was rumoured to be nice. Hmm…
Anyway, i have difficulties falling asleep on plane. I don’t know why. 10 mins is the most i could do. Gee…i ENVY THOSE WHO TELL ME THAT THEY SLEPT THROUGHOUT THE FLIGHT. How did you do that !
The customer service was good enough, no complains. 
Drinks were served from time to time.
Next up – the place i stayed in Tokyo (you should not miss!)
